Do you know a Good Neighbor?

Mainstreet Good Neighbor Award winners demonstrate astonishing dedication to continually improving their communities though philanthropic efforts. They receive a personalized charitable contribution to an organization they volunteer with.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Nominees must be a Mainstreet member in good standing.
  2. Nominees will have contributed to a program that improves the livability of a local community. Those activities aren’t limited to real estate or housing issues, and may include such things as crime prevention, youth mentoring, or homelessness prevention, for example.
  3. Nominees will have made a significant contribution of personal time.  
  4. Nominees will be judged on their level of personal contribution, impact of personal contribution, broadness of impact, and the project’s suitability as a role model for other REALTORS®.
  5. The award is intended to recognize individual contributions, not company-wide efforts.  
  6. Nominees must be able to document the results of their individual involvement through published reports and/or testimonials from the organization they served or the people they helped.

Nomination Procedures:

REALTORS® may nominate themselves, may be nominated by another Mainstreet member, or be nominated by the community organization they serve. Do you know a Mainstreet member who is volunteering for an organization in your community, but you do not have enough information to fill out our application? Fill out a nomination form for them! All entries shall become the property of Mainstreet and will not be returned.

  • Nominee entry information will not be given to anyone outside of the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®.
  • Nominees must sign an affidavit of eligibility and be willing to be interviewed, photographed, and featured on the Association’s website. The recipient will be recognized at the annual installation of Officers & Directors.
  • The recipient will be notified by telephone and mail.
